Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars premiered on ABC and Disney+ on September 15, 2026, and the two-night premiere continues on September 16, with the male celebrities performing on Night 1 and the ladies on Night 2. One contestant is eliminated at the end of each night based on judges' scores and viewer votes combined.
Dancing With the Stars Season 35 kicked off its premiere week with 16 celebrities in competition, featuring back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16. Both episodes begin at 8/7c and air live for two hours.
Night 1 of the premiere featured the male celebrities performing with their pro partners, including Tyler Cameron with Sharna Burgess, Ezra Frech with Daniella Karagach, Taylor Hanson with Britt Stewart, Conner Leavitt with Adele Zaikman, and Jackson Olson with Emma Slater, among others. Night Two features the women's performances, creating a unique format for the season's launch.
Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli are returning to the judges' table, while Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are back as hosts for the fourth consecutive season. Season 34 was won by wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin, who defeated influencer Alix Earle and gymnast Jordan Chiles in the finale.
The season kicked off with a new set of voting rules, thanks to having two contestants with the same first name, Mormon Wives' Conner Leavitt and comedian Connor Wood. This adjustment ensures clarity during the voting process and represents the show's adaptability as it continues to evolve with its celebrity lineup and production logistics.
