Reacher Star Alan Ritchson and Wife Catherine Announce Split After 20 Years of Marriage

In a September 12 Instagram post, the couple wrote, "After twenty years together, Cat and I have decided to end our marriage and continue alongside one another in a different way. We grew up together. We built a life and family together. And we are raising three incredible boys who will always be the center of our world." Ritchson first met Catherine in high school while both were taking dance classes at a state college. He later recalled, "I thought she was a college student, so I was afraid to talk to her. We finally spoke and then did a play together that summer." After a brief romance, the teens called it off before reconnecting later when Catherine was in college, and they married in May 2006. In their statement, the couple emphasized that "nothing can diminish what these years have meant to us — or the love and respect we will always share," adding that "the best gift we can give one another — and our boys — right now is friendship, grace and a commitment to becoming the strongest co-parents we can be." The pair noted their goal is to give each other room to grow as people and requested privacy for the sake of their children. According to legal documents, Ritchson had initially filed for divorce in December 2025. The couple briefly reconciled in March 2026 before ultimately deciding to end the marriage in September 2026. The couple share three sons – Calem, 13, Edan, 12, and Amory, 10.
