TikToker Grant Gibbs claimed he was blocked from Grindr's Pleasure Ball event due to Crumbl co-founder Sawyer Hemsley's presence on the guest list. Hemsley, the Mormon-raised co-founder of the cookie company, came out in August of last year, seemingly in response to a video Gibbs made speculating on his sexuality. Hemsley responded directly, denying involvement and stating that neither he nor anyone on his team asked Grindr to remove Gibbs from any guest list.

On October 21, TikToker Grant Gibbs, one half of the viral "Twink and a Redhead" duo, posted a video claiming he had been specifically asked to be taken off the Grindr Pleasure Ball guest list because Sawyer Hemsley was invited. Gibbs posted what some have called 'Crumblgate,' alleging that Hemsley retaliated for what happened last summer by getting Grindr to disinvite him from the third annual Halloween Pleasure Ball in New York City. Gibbs stated he was told directly by someone at Grindr that Hemsley's team requested his removal from the guest list, and Grindr honored that request. He criticized Hemsley for doing "nothing" for the gay community and questioned why Crumbl would not do a Crumbl Pride cookie or Pride-related offerings. The conflict stems from events over a year earlier. In August 2025, Gibbs had made a video speculating on Hemsley's sexuality, saying "That man is so gay. That man is gay to the gods." After Hemsley's DMs were leaked shortly after Gibbs' video, Hemsley officially came out as gay. Gibbs later apologized for his videos and commended Hemsley for coming out as gay publicly. Hemsley responded to the new allegations in a comment on Gibbs' video, writing that neither he nor anyone on his team requested Gibbs' removal, stating he had moved forward from the TikTok situation and held no ill will, and hoping the matter would get sorted out.
