Kick streamer Lavlune, also known as 'FoidElf,' has been banned from Kick after a video went viral in which she appeared to grab her pet dog by the scruff of its neck and slam it to the floor, which occurred on October 14, 2026. The moment from her broadcast quickly spread across the r/LivestreamFail subreddit and other social media platforms, sparking widespread outrage. Among those who condemned the streamer over the alleged incident was rapper Doja Cat, who responded to the clip by saying she hoped Lavlune would have her cat and dog taken away from her. Doja Cat wrote on X on October 16, 2026, that Lavlune needed 'a f***ing factory reset' and urged her to 'Give your animals to someone who wants them and get some much needed help you sick f***.'" Lavlune also appeared to have been banned from Kick following the incident. When visitors attempted to access her account, they were met with an error message. In response to the controversy, Lavlune defended her actions, claiming that although the clip looked 'odd,' the dog's feet remained on the ground throughout, and she attributed her handling to the fact that she was sitting on a 'very short' rocking chair. However, her explanation did not prevent the platform from taking action against her account. The incident has renewed concerns about animal welfare on live streaming platforms and how quickly platforms respond to allegations of animal mistreatment during broadcasts.
