Natalie Portman Welcomes Third Child, First Baby With French Partner Tanguy Destable

Natalie Portman, 45, welcomed her third baby, her first with partner Tanguy Destable, in Paris last month. No details about the newborn—including their name or gender—have been revealed. The Oscar winner announced in April that she was pregnant with her third child in an interview with Harper's Bazaar, saying she felt "very grateful," and that it was "such a privilege and a miracle" to be expecting a baby with Destable, a French music producer.

Portman is now a mom of three after welcoming her new baby last month in Paris, according to People. The newborn joins Portman's two older children, 15-year-old son Aleph and 9-year-old daughter Amalia, whom she shares with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied. Portman and Destable have largely kept their relationship private since going public in 2025. Destable is a French music producer and musician who has worked under the stage name Tepr. Portman was previously married to Millepied, whom she met while working on the 2010 film Black Swan. The former couple married in 2012 and welcomed Aleph in 2011 and Amalia in 2017. Their divorce was finalised in 2024. In her Harper's Bazaar interview, Portman reflected on the perspective she has gained with age and the gratitude she felt during her third pregnancy. "There is a gratitude that when you're young, you don't necessarily grasp," she said. "There's a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it's probably the last time, I cherish every moment." Portman was especially happy to experience the pregnancy in Paris. "There's been beautiful spring weather," she said, adding, "so it's been pretty amazing to just walk in the incredible parks here and go see art." The arrival of Portman's third child comes as she continues to balance her family life with a busy acting career. She has recently completed several projects and has been spending more time with her family in Paris.
